Day 7
For our final morning we visited the Montmartre District, taking the stairs up to the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur. Some of us looked around the beautiful church, whilst others sat in the shade and recovered from the climb up the hill!
Many students grabbed some lunch at one of the typical old Parisian café on Place du Tertre, others had caricatures and portraits drawn by the artists in this bohemian area of Paris from where the Impressionism movement emerged and we all shopped for last minute souvenirs. After returning to the hotel we transferred to the airport by private bus. We said a big thank you to Stephane our guide and to Mr Charef for all their work, before boarding our flight to Doha and then continuing to Dubai where we were met at around 4 am by lots of parents, then it was home to bed!
Once again, a huge thank you to Mr Charef for organising this trip, it is a huge amount of work to plan the trip and we are on high alert throughout the trip ensuring that all students are in the right place at the right time ( I have never counted to 21 so many times in my life!!). Bonnes vacances!
